Annette Aletor has experience litigating matters arising under federal and state employment laws, including issues arising under the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act and New York Labor Law. She has defended employers in matters involving issues of retaliation, sexual harassment, disability discrimination, pregnancy discrimination, age discrimination, sexual orientation discrimination, constructive termination and breach of contract.
Annette also has litigated wage-and-hour claims, including claims for overtime, minimum wage violation, and spread-of-hours violations under New York State Law. She has conducted payroll audits for clients in actions commenced by the Department of Labor and New York City Department of Consumer Affairs. In addition, Annette has represented management and employers in a wide variety of employment-related matters including defense of actions commenced in federal and state court and before government agencies.
